Her empathetic and empowering talk on differently-abled and society enabled participants to understand their responsibilities in inclusivity, reminding everyone that we are all humans and can find ways to coexist in a nurturing environment. Highlighting the need for inclusivity, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), School of Humanities and Social Sciences and School of Interior Design - Department of English, Women and Gender Sensitization Cell, organized a Scholar in Campus session on September 20, 2021. Rajeshwari, Head - Department of Kannada, gave a brief speech on the establishment of the Kannada forum and the various activities and events conducted by the same. He also stressed the need for the younger generation to know the culture and language of Karnataka. Srinivasayaiah, Head - Department of Hindi, presided over the function by highlighting the ancientness and richness of Kannada. Dinesh Nilkant, Dean - Faculty of Management and Director – School of Commerce and CMS Business School, mentioned various activities and programs conducted by the Kannada forum and asked the students to participate and avail the benefits of learning Kannada. He spoke about the richness of Kannada and his mission to teach the language to foreigners in the state.ĭr. Dharmanna Kadur, a renowned comedian and theatre artist, graced the event as the chief guest. He insisted that the younger generation must adapt to the nativity of the Kannada language and try to embrace it. He shared his childhood experiences and underscored the importance of learning Kannada. Satyaprakash, a celebrated director and a National Film Award winner, inaugurated the program with the title song Naada Geethe of his movie. JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), School of Commerce, School of Computer Science and IT, and School of Humanities - Department of Kannada, inaugurated Kannada Vedhike on October 8, 2021.
